So many amazing singles, EP’s and albums are released every week that it can be hard to keep track of it all. To make things nice and easy for you, here are some of our favourite releases of the last week. Bringing you something from different countries, genres and styles.
Swallow Me – Rachel Sermanni
Written two weeks before the birth of her child, Swallow Me is the title track of Rachel Sermanni’s upcoming EP. Poetic and emotional, the song describes many of the feelings Sermanni experienced while pregnant and the changes that are right around the corner. It’s a beautiful testimony of motherhood and spirituality and promises great things for her upcoming EP.
For anyone in need of comfort music.
Done With The Chase – Galactic Dust
Based in North-London, Galactic Dust is a great combination of indie and electronic music. Inspired by a range of genres, the band just released their latest single Done With The Chase. With the band involved in every single aspect of the creation and marketing of their music, the result is a fun and empowering song and we’re excited to see what they do next.
For anyone who can’t wait for gigs to be back.
Ploy – Silvertwin
Listening to Silvertwin, it’s easy to mistake them for a band from another time: retro and clearly inspired by the 60s and 70s, Silvertwin manages to sound both vintage and fresh at the same time. Their latest single, Ploy, is another great addition to their roster. With several (socially-distanced) gigs in the diary, we’re excited to see them live, but for now, we’ll just enjoy their music from our bedrooms.
For anyone who wants to pretend they’re living in the 70s.
FYE (F*CK YOUR EXPECTATIONS) Part 1 – AG Club
Since the release of their debut EP, Halfway off the Porch, in 2020, the AG Club have sky-rocketed to success, and rightfully so: the California-based hiphop group is unlike any other. Creative, innovative and fun, they set the bar high and offer something new within one of the most popular genres around. Their debut album FYE (F*CK YOUR EXPECTATIONS) Part 1, is out now and proves they just keep getting better.
For anyone who wants something completely new and fun.
